New Jersey 3rd District officials announce mobile office locations

As part of a continuing effort to make office resources and services more available to constituents, Senate President Stephen M. Sweeney, Assembly Deputy Speaker John J. Burzichelli, and Assemblywoman Celeste M. Riley are proudly announcing the dates and locations of three upcoming mobile offices.

In light of the success of the Third Legislative District’s first mobile office in Carneys Point on Thursday, July 15, three additional mobile offices have been planned for the month of August – one in each of the three counties of the Third District:

Thursday, Aug. 12, 5 to 7 p.m., Lawrence Township Municipal Building, 357 Main St., Cedarville.

Thursday, Aug. 19, 6 to 8 p.m., Clayton Borough Municipal Building, 125 North Delsea Drive, Clayton.

Thursday, Aug. 26, 6 to 8 p.m., Pittsgrove Township Municipal Building, 989 Centerton Road, Pittsgrove.

“For the convenience of our constituents, my colleagues and I have offices in each of the three counties of the Third District,” said Sweeney. “However, we represent the largest district in the state in terms of geographical size, so there are inevitably residents who must travel further distances than others to reach one of our offices. It is our hope that through these mobile offices, our services and staff will be equally accessible to all residents of the Third Legislative District.”

“In addition to bringing our services to more convenient locations, these mobile offices will also help bring our services at more convenient times,” added Burzichelli. “Constituents who work nine-to-five jobs that are unable to come to one of our offices during office hours will be able to visit these mobile offices during the nighttime, after work.”

Riley will be in attendance at each of the mobile offices to speak with constituents and hear their opinions on state matters.

“These mobile offices are a great opportunity, not only for constituents in need of assistance, but for me as well,” said Riley. “I look forward to the opportunities to meet our constituents, hear their concerns in person, and work with our staff to provide any assistance they may need.”

Constituents planning on visiting the mobile offices will also have an opportunity to seek assistance from office staff with state related issues, as well as choose from a selection of complimentary maps, directories, brochures and other helpful state resources.
