For the state legislature’s 2012/2013 session, Senator Sweeney was unanimously confirmed and sworn in as President of the New Jersey Senate, the highest-ranking position in the state’s legislature. As the Senate President, Senator Sweeney plays a key role in setting the Senate’s agenda and building coalitions.
Assemblyman Burzichelli was sworn in as the Deputy Speaker of the New Jersey Assembly and is the chair of the Assembly Appropriations committee, vice chair of the Assembly Regulatory, Oversight and Gaming committee and a member of the Assembly Budget committee.
Assemblywoman Riley is the chair of the Assembly Higher Education committee, vice chair of the Assembly Tourism and Arts Committee and a member of the Transportation, Public Works and Independent Authorities committee.
